Company History
Narimex Praha s.r.o. was founded on March 31st, 1992, as a successor entity to the Narex Praha Rescue System. The company’s founder was Cyril Svoboda – long time successful race driver, creator of the Rescue System, maker of producer of rescue gear and five times Champion of the Republic and Master of Sport. After his untimely death, his wife, Mrs. Margita Svobodova took over the management of the company.
During its fifteen year history, Narimex focused primarily on the production of rescue gear, including its service and personnel training. Further, Narimex stood as one of the founding companies, giving birth to the Rescue System, both in the Czech and the Slovak republic. Furthermore, Narimex was incorporated into the Czech Republic’s Rescue System.
Silent witness to the quality of our products is our almost twenty year long combined presence at racing events with the Tatra 623 Special.
It was also an honor for our products and our company to take part, for eleven years, in ensuring safety at the annual Formula One race at Hungaroring, Hungary. Our gear was also employed during the help and rescue effort in the Armenian city of Leninakan, struck by an earthquake on December 7th, 1988.
We are also proud to have taken part in cooperation with SKODA-AUTO in transforming the Octavia and Octavia Combi models for rescue purposes. The SKODA cars are adjusted and rebuilt in such a fashion as to fulfill all the various needs of the rescue system thanks to being equipped with rescue gear, firefighting gear or medical equipment. These adjusted automobiles equipped with medical and rescue gear help to save lives up to the present day at racing circuits in Brno and Most.
